I see why it has won the Booker Prize. It got me thinking some pretty big thoughts and looking up at the sky, contemplating. But it was also really repetitive with the very long descriptions of the earth - that's where it lost me. I liked the astronauts/cosmonauts and their stories, but found it overshadowed by so. Much. It's not what I expected (that being: a spoopy gothic tale of mystery) but it was good- finding family, breaking out from the path others want to put you on and granting others to be complex and multifaceted. Kind of feminist?
