If you have or were a special needs child just know this will likely make you feel all the things . You want to keep reading to figure out the mystery behind the fathers disappearance but also the author makes you feel so strongly connected to the son , Eugene , that you want to read to almost watch over him . The story addresses so many hard topics ; racism, ableism, suicide , health crisis/ pandemic & favoritism. I adored the realness from this author . The plot kept twisting every time a possible scenario was seeming to make sense. Wonderful read

I was a little disappointed in this book particularly as it was the ending of this series. I did love learning more about the remaining character backstories . However , I was not a fan of a good bit of the ending . I cannot say too much without giving away some of the story line but there were some let down moments . I did appreciate that the ending left things with a peaceful yet open ended type of story . The pacing is a little bit slower than some of the previous books. Overall it is still a great series .

This was a good little palette cleanser after a few heavy and darker reads . The writing does read a bit more juvenile but I am fairly sure this is intended to be a YA read . The pacing was fairly middle of the road until the end and then it picks up a bit. I found the characters fairly relatable and realistic .Overall this was closer to a 3.75 for me but I rounded up for the full star scale .

I feel like the dual timeline was executed so well for this story. The trickle of information from past into the present timeline kept your own guesses as to what has happened . Multiple povs keep you adjusting your views of each character. Lucy Foley spins an intriguing tale about the lifestyle and secrets that come with the influence of money .

This was an okay read for me . I felt like some of the past from the therapist view was a bit unnecessary for the advancement of the story line . I feel like the story would have been just as interesting or more so without the distraction . The ending twist was nice . I do like the simplicity of this author’s writing style .

This one was a wild ride. First off it is a sllllooooww burn particularly for the first half of the book. I feel as though that may be expected though due to the number of characters being introduced and each being given a detailed backstory. The writing itself wasn’t bad . Personally I found parts of the story intriguing and emotional. Be careful of triggers as there are some mentioned . The weirdest part of this whole book ,and something that definitely brought it down in rating for me ,was the change in narration for the final few chapters . It was such an odd choice to swap from 1st to 3rd for the ending. Q

I did a dual format read for this book as so many people had recommended the audio version. I did love the immersive experience provided by the audiobook! This is definitely a book where there are characters you love to hate and equally hate to love . Everyone has some dirty laundry to.try and air it in the story which keeps things interesting . Lots of little plot twists along the way . I did not see the truth until the last second and that to me is always a sign of excellent writing. Really looking forward to seeing more from this author.
