didn't care about the characters or plot enough to deal with this amount of smut lol

Utterly charming. 

On paper, this has everything I like: a historical setting, women of science, progressive messages, etc.

I unfortunately had to force myself to finish this. I found there was little compelling about the plot, and even less chemistry between the two leads. There was no tension, it felt like we bumbled along to different plot points where they were resolved with little consequence. Really disappointed, this had so much potential.
