I love stories where people are a little strange -- where their perception of reality isn't quite in line with what others experience. Reading about art obsession and the haze of creation hit that mark for me. Any story where the protagonist is so clearly passionate about what they're doing just draws me in; I could not give less of a shit about abstract art but I was so invested in this story nonetheless. 

The social commentary, the self-exploration, the character development, the writing. I did not expect it to go in the directions it was going but I'm glad I picked this up. I would recommend this to people who like characters who maybe are a little off-kilter but who will deeply immerse you in their version of reality and expose you to the weird world of expensive art. 

Quirky, whismical, and fun. I felt the character development and resolution was rushed but I had a wholesome blast nonetheless.

A complete and total surprise. The characters and relationships felt so human.

I adored the romance, but if you love messy family dynamics and characters learning to ask for help (me, i love those things), definitely check this out. The premise is ridiculous but is made up by a ton of heart. 

There were parts I loved but overall this felt disjointed. It tried to introduce a variety of plot points and poignant topics, but suffered from not having enough time dedicated to fleshing them out properly. The relationship was sweet, I love grumpy/sunshine, but again I wish we had more opportunities for their chemistry to grow and flourish.

The first half of this book was immaculate. If you do not vibe with instalove or soulmates, definitely skip this title. Yujun is the Perfect Boyfriend (TM) but his lack of personality is made up in spades with Hara's personal journey of finding where she belongs as an adopted Korean child who was raised in Iowa. 

I felt like some answers to lingering questions were pretty obvious as it progressed, but I wasn't a big fan of how we got to those answers, nor how this story was concluded. There is a sequel.

I will probably pick it up if only to see how they handle Hara's characterization at the start.

Once the characters got into their relationship, I didn't like them nor their lack of chemistry. 

Beautifully written. I adored Lore and Bastiàn, and I am so thankful I got to follow them on their journey. 

I struggled a bit with the writing in this, and the overall pacing. A lot happens but really nothing happens, and the ending feels very anticlimactic. I'm pretty ambivalent to epilogues, especially in romance novels, but one feels sorely needed here. 

If you're looking for a book with cozy vibes, this may be something to pick up, but I think there are better titles out there that will leave you with a more satisfying conclusion.
