4.5 stars. Aah, I loved this book - so touching, so simple - sometimes that is all you need.
I found the events of this book fascinating (true story!) and I've never read a book from this perspective before - German's trying to warn the world about the intentions of their newly elected leader - Adolf Hitler.
That was.... unexpected. It was violent. It was bizarre. It was ridiculous. And I liked it. Like watching a Tarantino movie.
It started off so strongly but then... it turned into The Fault In Our Stars, Five Feet Apart, The Sky is Everywhere. Good, but not great. I think I’m done with YA contemporary.
4.5 stars. I loved this middle grade tale of hauntings, espionage and adventure.
