Ha! I can't wait for the tv adaptation!

Not my favourite Joe Hill book. I probably took too long to read it though (almost 2 months!!) and I’m sure that didn’t help the pacing and my emotional investment in the characters (ie there wasn’t one).

I don't know how to rate this novel. It is not like anything I have ever read. At some parts it is ridiculous while others absurdly profound. I am glad i read it.

Really interesting and accessible. I feel a much smarter homo sapien for it :)

2.5 stars. I found the ending very unsatisfying and thin. So much potential squandered.

So I gave this a fair go, almost half way through is pretty good going. But it is still impenetrable. I just can’t bring myself to wade through the dense sludge to find the story anymore. It defeated me 😕 DNF @ 46%

Beautiful and heart-breaking

I enjoyed it, but I think I went into it with sky high expectations (that’s the trouble with hype!) so was slightly underwhelmed. Still worth the read though.

Raw and uncensored. A fine writer. I can't give this a rating because it is a personal account of someone's life and emotions, but I feel as though I have discovered an important and interesting new voice.
