Much better than the previous book! I was unable to predict the plot as well. I liked the surprises and the way the book ended. There were times the plot didn’t feel as developed. A lot of this book could’ve been written in the second one, instead of the filler in Lord of Shadows. Overall, it was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. 

First part and last 100 pages are awesome and full of action! However, it took me months to pick up this book again after having a hard time getting through the middle. So much filler, I really think this could have been written with so many less pages. I love how it picked up at the end though and it brought me in again and made me excited for the next. 

First part is definitely slow. As a lover of Greek mythology though, it was able to keep my attention. By the second half, I was thoroughly involved with the characters and

I loved how the author wrote the perspective once Patroclus died.

Absolutely heartbreaking book but very recommended.
