This book offers an intriguing premise: a family stranded on a remote island when a mysterious woman washes ashore. The big question—what is she doing there?
At first, I struggled with the large cast of characters, which made it difficult to keep track of who was who. However, once I figured it out, the story started to flow. Every time I picked this book up I felt like I was watching *Lost* on TV, with its mix of mystery and survival.
The setting is wonderfully atmospheric, and I was particularly drawn to the kids, whose dynamics added depth to the story. This book explores themes of grief, secrets, survival, and the unknown. The mystery kept me hooked until the very end. Overall, it’s a captivating read that combines suspense with emotional depth.
I was thrilled to receive this e-book from Berkley, my first ever! I've read two books by this author and loved them. This one was different than what I have read before. It follows three women, each with their own unique journey. This one focuses on secrets, love, grief, letting go, and friendship.
I really enjoyed it. I was eager to see what would happen next with these women.

This was my first book in this series by him! I had high hopes after loving his book Kill for Me, Kill for You last year. This one had a lot of characters to keep track of, and I didn’t really connect with any of them, though I did find Flynn clever. The twists were surprising, but it was an alright story overall. That being said, I'm excited to read more in the series, though! 🙌

Spoiler- loved it!! I read the arc in the fall and couldn’t wait to experience it again in its physical form so I could tab!!!
This is exactly the type of duology I love – it picks up right where it left off, diving straight back into the intense tension and thrilling adventures of Rune and Gideon. Loved my re-read, I took my time and paused at certain moments because I just didn’t want it to end. I’m so excited to see what the author writes next! Plus, I love that she’s Canadian!
Excited to share that I liked this one! I read the author’s other two books but didn’t love them, though I was encouraged to try this one—and I’m glad I did.
Theo visits her wealthy fiancé’s family winter retreat and starts to realize she’s been there before, but doesn’t know how. It definitely kept me hooked, wanting to uncover the family’s secrets. I did find that the timelines were a bit confusing at times.
This reminded me of another book I read - The Family Game, but enjoyed this one more!
I was so excited to get my hands on this one before pub day! I kept seeing glowing reviews for it. This story was emotional with complex relationships, secrets with past and present timelines. There was one thing that I didn’t love about this one, but the ending redeemed it for me.

I’m torn on how to review this book. I went in knowing nothing about it, and the start was great—it hooked me. But by the end, I felt a bit let down. I expected a big reveal that didn’t come, though I understand what the author was trying to do. I think more perspective from Nora and Angie could have helped. That being said, I will definitely read this authors next book!
For those of you who read this, you know exactly what I'm talking about. You all warned me—dark, wild, and completely unhinged—and you weren't wrong. At first, I struggled to get into it, maybe it was the translation or something, but once I focused and really got into. I was completely hooked! Now, I can’t even begin to describe this book without giving anything away. If you're ready for that 🤯 moment, do yourself a favor and grab this book. Trust me, it’ll blow your mind and then think, what would I have done??
