I cannot describe how much I loved this book. R.F. Kuang’s mind is extraordinary. To be able to create such an immersive universe that still feels so real, despite its fantasy setting, is incredible. The characters were so well done, and the emotions I felt were torturous in the best way. The conversations on colonialism and ethics were incredibly explored and I think everyone should read this
