I liked the book, but the (lack of an) ending made me so frustrated! Yes, it's part of a series, but c'mon! We know basically nothing!

This book has so much that I love and/or is relatable: good friendships, group chats, making friends online, connecting with people over being chronically ill, chats/texts, and so on and so forth. Add in lycanthropy and it's even more fun!
While it was weird to listen to a story I know, with different intonation than my own head produces, it was really nice to listen to this while doing house chores! The story is as good as ever <3

I liked the concept of this book, and how the author built the world around it, what influence the existence of luck lines would have on society and what kind of prejudices would develop because of it.
My main reason for my rating is that I didn't really like the main character for the biggest part of the book. Her personal development was very much the plot of the book, so I think that was the point, but it just makes me enjoy reading less when I can't really root for them. That's a very personal feeling though.
I was glad that the main things I didn't like were addressed in the plot during the story.
I was glad the world building showed you can't use your luck to force someone's actions like Helena tried to do (and that Helena was aware it wouldn't fix her relationship, just give a nudge to a chance to explain.) In the end it did help give her a chance to talk with the necklace thing. I liked that it wasn't a straightforward fix.

The worldbuilding in this book is outstanding, as in, it literally stands out and is good. Love how the gender of someone is never guessed, people are reffered to with they/them untill someone shows the preferred gender of the character. The way characters are names is also very nicely done, and I like that the meaning of the names of the people of the Earth, don't always match their actual personalities. After all, how can you know how a baby will be when they grow up?
The two main characters are fun to get to know, and during the two novella's we slowly get to know them more and more. Sometimes at the same pace as the other main characters, sometimes sooner because of the POV, and that also makes for interisting situation.
Lastly: I actually exclaimned a happy 'Oh! so soon!' out loud, alone in my livingroom when I saw that part two is due in march already!!

I really enjoyed reading this. The use of the helpline in the story, meant giving a reader a view of the kinds of problems and opinions an ace person can face, without having it all happen to the main characters.
I would have liked for some parts of the storylines to have a bit more closure at the end of the book, some things feel rather open, and others a bit abrupt.

There were moments the male main character's choices annoyed me enough that I put away the book for a bit, but overall a nice read ^^ (and I still finished it in 2,5 days so :P)
