We Travel the Spaceways is a book I kept rereading passages in. I'm a bit confused and also not at the same time. I don't want to give away, but I'm assuming it's about consumerism of religion and faith. Of all the 6 stories, this one caused me to think most. It talks about faith, slavery, transgender, homelessness, mental illness, and love. It was well written, thought provoking, and entertaining as heck.

Chelsea's Werk Week started with a sensible beginning and ended with promise of some drama. I loved it. We all need a Chelsea, although her ditsy voice kind of annoyed me. Get it girl. Keep reading.

Keri on the Loose shows Janet taking charge of her life. It held my attention and I liked how Keri was strong yet fun. Life can't be all work right. For some reason when I think of Keri, I think of Megan Goode. Her and Candace need each other, true friends. Can't wait to see what happens next.

From the Desk of Lady Miss shows what happens when you are too opinionated. The things that come out of Lady J's mouth are hilarious and a unique brand of comedy. I would not want her talking about me because I would probably cry. I like she's helping Janet help herself. I enjoyed this book so much and looking forward to reading the next.

I thought Spare Room was fun, dark, and suspenseful. I learned not to always believe what you have been told your entire life. It had me gasping at the end of most of the chapters because of revelations. While it has funny parts, it is a sad story of loss, identity, , mental illness, secrets, betrayal, loyalty, and discovering the truth despite adversity. I give Lisa a lot of credit for being brave and smart during her journey of discovery. Even when everyone else doubts you, stick to your convictions. I am glad it worked out for her because it could have gone another way very easily. This book makes me realize I don't want to ever rent a room in anyone's home ever again. Good book.

I read 3 books by Dreda Say Mitchell and this was my favorite. She knows how to build suspense and gaslight you (in a good way). I don't think book was creepy, but very intriguing. Definitely a page turner.
This book had so many reveals I almost couldn't keep up. I loved it. Rachel definitely has some issues, internal and external. I commend her for trying to work out her issues herself, but I would have asked for help before it got that bad. She was incredibly brave for sticking to solving the mystery, and a bit nuts how she went about it. It definitely is not easy realizing your world is not what it seems. Her partner in crime, Keats, was a pleasure. I enjoyed watching their friendship "blossom", if that is even the right word. I would definitely read a book with Keats as the title character. Very unique and oddball. Book is well written and enjoyable.

Stag definitely has an agenda to discuss the impact of humans on the environment; however, I concentrated more on the story told. Unfortunately, there was not much action, but it had funny parts. I would enjoy attending a divorce party. I mean why not. You come together and accepted my gift at your wedding. I feel I should come back, party and get my gift back. Anyway, the symbolism of the tortoise's long life vs the short lived marriage is a interesting to me. I liked how the author slowly brought out Stan's story. I knew it was coming somehow. Book started light hearted and ended serious. Overall, decent psychological save the earth type book.

A Righteous Man was written entirely as letters from Nathaniel to Theresa. Very unique and well done. You feel the friendship and love he has for her. It makes me yearn for that type of closeness to my spouse. Anyway...I think narrator was realistic about his work, yet not as humble as he should be as a missionary. His internal struggle is something many should have and I felt it. Good job author. It touched on slavery, but didn't delve into the horrors of it too much, but did address some background we may never have heard of regarding it. The intimidation factor. Eye opening. I was a bit confused on the timing of everything as there was no dates, but I thought it was a good book and I enjoyed reading it.

Wildlife was a great book until the end. It was a great build up and I was excited, then was left scratching my head as to what happened. I'm know there is some symbolism, but I lost it. If you check out my vlog, let me know if you figured it out. I liked Geraldine and the statement "I like helping people, until I didn't like helping people. I put in my time and did what I could, then I retired early." A woman after my own heart. I was a bit disappointed when finding out her past. I was expecting something more sinister. I also thought the descending of chapter numbers was unique. Book is worth a read as part of this Trespass series, but not something, in retrospect, that I would waste time on with the ending as it is.

The Tiger Came to the Mountains was a good story that has a nostalgic feel the way it was told. The audible narrator Selma Hayek was a perfect choice to voice it. Book tells the horrors and reality of wartime life for people left in villages. It is heartbreaking for anyone, especially a child to witness such thing. Innocence is definitely lost. "Some men end up on coins and bills, but that does not make them saints." So true. I like how she discussed her brother. You can tell she cares about him a lot. The tiger attack was quick, but pivotal for the entire book. Good story.
