Fish Girl is a cute graphic/picture book that incorporates mythology.  The images are fun and innocent.  I enjoyed it.  The octopus changing shape and whatnot throws me off. 

Joan Proctor, Dragon Doctor was entertaining and informative.  Female power in science is a must and I'm glad Joan got the opportunity.  And I learned Komodo dragons eat pigeons.  

Mr. Wuffles is a true picture book.  Minimal words but a good deciperable plot nonetheless.  Also it make me want to clean my house because of the junk on the floors.

That's Me Loving You is a sweet story with great diversity.  It gives spring or summer vibes. 

Preaching to the Chickens is a great intro to John Lewis and activism for young readers.  It is a great opportunity to open up a dialogue with children about what the vision for their own life. 

Who Are Your People is a fantastic celebration of black history and ancestry. Very inspirational

I wish I could give The Artivist all the stars in the world.  The story, the message, the art, all amazing.  Every picture is something to take your time to dissect.  Such relevance to the world be have always lives in.  Job well done. 

Drum Dream Girl is a beautiful celebration of Cuban culture and female empowerment with historical truths.  The images are bright, lush and beautiful.

An Unkindness of Ghosts is a unique foray into racism, classism, identity, sexuality, mental illness and environmentalism.  I was surprised to find comedy as well.  The book was a job well done for the most part. World building was up there. A few plot holes/things that didn't make sense, but it didn't dampen my enjoyment that much.  I am not a sequel person, but I wouldn't mind one.
