Loved Julian at the Wedding. Beautiful brides and beautiful inclusivity message. Love when adults accept people for who they are, starting as a child.

The Registration was a wild ride with characters you root for, even those you don't know if you should trust. This book reminded me of the movie The Purge, but definitely under scaled. I do think Lynell was impulsive, but I also admire her tenacity. At times book got light hearted and kind of flirty at odd times. But then switched back serious real quick. The political and torture aspects were interesting too. This was an impulse pickup and I am glad I read it. Definitely a fun mixed bag.

Greed Box reminds me of Possession movie. People are never happy with what they have. Enjoyable book.

Had no idea this was book 9 of a series when I read it. That said I won't be packpedaling. Story itself was interesting and I appreciated knowing there are so many different types of killers in this world, and apparently lots are in New Orleans area right down the street from Krista. This book was not as bloody as I expected, nor as exciting. Resolutions were quick with no hiccups or twists. And there was a lot of redundancy in explanations between chapters. I didn't like that. Overall, I was a bit let down and suspected who the stalker was. But decent book for police procedural.

Hemlock Island is a very suspenseful horror novel that moves at a fast pace. I was kept on my toes the entire time and second guessing what was going on. The characters checking in with each helped me keep peace of mind. The creep factor is definitely throughout the story without it being super gorey. That said, you still get that. I like you also get comedy also. I do think there are some unrealistic elements in the miscommunications between friends and the resolution in the end. I just think there could have been a better way to handle it. Including the whole thing with Garrett. It seemed like an excuse to add in a serious poignant subject. However I did enjoy the story. I will think twice about renting an airBNB on a remote island.

Sex Criminals Vol 1 was so ridiculous that I returned the other 4 volumes I checked out to the library unread. It is not what I expected, and the timelines and scenes jumped all over the place that I was confused through the first 1/3 of the book. I do like the comedy though. The addition of a serious element of a character toward the end threw me off too. This series is not for me. Good title though.

Your Shadow Half Remains is a wild ride of do I trust Riley, the narrator. No opportunity to get bored. I read it in a day. The ending was fitting if a bit still questionable. Reminds me of the movie Bird Box. Good quick read.

RuPaul is a true icon, and a beautiful soul. The House of Hidden Meanings gave me so much back story I did not know. I appreciated that. You learn of his childhood mama/daddy trauma, his humble beginnings of stardom and the beginnings of his fame. Also the beginning of his relationship with now husband George. However, he never even mentioned Drag Race which is hugely iconic and arguably his biggest achievement to bring drag mainstream. I was disappointed in that I wanted to know how it came to be. Also, marrying George wasn't mentioned and the extent of their marriage. You hear the news (wink wink)! He narrates the audio and some parts he gets emotional. Highly suggest. Overall, I enjoyed the book.
