Snow Fall: A Prophecy Series Short Christmas Story is a cute installment in what sounds like an epic story. I didn't know it at the time, but it is book 5. It was enjoyable and heartfelt.  Hope and joy are not to be taken lightly.  The manipulation of elements was really cool. I mean it's nice to change the weather. It is a complete story in itself without a cliffhanger, but continuing the series would clarify a question brought up in the book.

The Fury has a unique presentation of a person telling a story.  I was entertained, but more happy story was finished.  I did predict the end.  Can't say I cared for any of the characters.  Sounds like they all need help.

The Teacher was a wild ride of predictable events and stupidity on the part of one characters.  It was a good description of school bullies though.  Entertaining, held my interest, and an amazing ending.  Also ladies, while shoes are nice, it is not therapy.  Seek help if you need it. 

The Future is a slow paced look into a possible future where billionaire tech controls the world.  I enjoyed the plot and was shocked at some of the twists/reveals. I am always in awe of how greedy rich people are.  They have a lot, but always want more.  I enjoyed the commentary of data gathering and manipulation because that is going on as we speak.  Some of the tech talk was boring but explained well.  I skipped over a lof of the religious talk.  This is a long book, so that is OK. The characters were diverse and had differing personalities so I liked that. I am left hoping the billionaires of the world are able to get their heads out their rears and create the change they have the influence, power and money to be able to produce.  Otherwise I think this planet is done for.

The Vegetarian is an odd book. I enjoyed the different POVS because you get a wide variety of persepectives.  Book was sad and upsetting at times, wierd also. Mental illness is real and should be respected and acknowledged.  I can't say I understood all of this book, but I will say people should enjoy life and not settle, and be unhappy.  Eventually that rebellion will come out in some type of way. 

Bride is a privileged budget, big publishing, good editor fleshed out plot, Kindle Unlimited-ish shape shifter novel.  Funny, sarcastic, beautifully heart felt at times, and cheesy.  That said, I enjoyed the book. I do wish It would have been told from multiple POVs instead of just Misery's.   Lark is an annoying, sexy mess.  How he can fly a plan and run a pack, but can't operate a computer or phone well.

A Psalm for the Wild-Built was funny, unique, idealic, and reflective on so many levels of humanity and technology.  I enjoyed the casual layout/unfolding of the book as a walk about nature, but was so much for me to take in and remember.  I felt like Mosscap didn't sound like robot and that threw me off.  I loved it's enthusiasm and inquisitiveness.  I was annoyed by SIbling Dex.  Overall, a enjoyed the story and looking forward to continuing the series.

I enjoyed A Prayer for the Crown-Shy better than the A Psalm.  There were less humanity/nature conversations and more comedy in this book. I loved Mosscap's energy for discovering new things and it's reflection on remaining true to it's original design.  I thoroughly enjoyed the book and wouldn't mind reading another if Becky Chambers decides to continue the series.

When Among Crows had too many bird references for me.  But I enjoyed the story, especially about creatures being able to feed on emotions.  It was mysterious and kinda of heartfelt.  Book had lots of descriptions too, that I found myself skipping over.  And the curse resolution and impulsive decision at the end sits wrong with me. Overall, I liked but didn't love it.  I find myself giving this book the side eye.

What the heck is wrong with Soichi, why does his family do nothing, and why does the cousin keep visiting if he tries to harm her.  All that said, good book, great illustrations and storylines.  It was a quick read that I read in one day.
