Most Ardently was such a cute remake of Pride and Prejudice. It has me wanting to immediate start a re-read of the classic. I was enthralled with both Oliver and Darcy, and loved the way Novoa wrote their romance.

As a fan of The Silent Patient and The Maidens, I had high hopes for this book. This book was definitely entertaining, but it did not live up to my expectations. I enjoyed the unreliable narrator, but it did make it difficult at points knowing what was real or not. As in his previous novels, you never know where the story is going; the third act twist definitely surprised me. All in all, I did enjoy the book even though it did not meet my high expectations.

This read was a quick and easy read; I flew through it in only a day. This book goes back and forth in time from when Rachel was in high school dating a fellow classmate, to current day where she is married and that former classmate is now a celebrity. Reading the segments from Rachel's past were so nostalgic; her and Jack's relationship was so sweet and innocent. I loved that this wasn't a typical romance, and I was unsure of how it would end and who Rachel would end up with. This book showcased betrayal, young love, the struggles of parenting, being forced into the limelight, and so many other interesting tropes. Highly recommended.
