frustrating, gritty, painful, heartfelt, real as shit. goddamn

Such a sweet story about compassion, community, and reading. Absolutely gorgeous physical book.

Ummm....huh??? Is this supposed to be based on something? If so, why does it completely lack any contextualization? If not, why was it in my library's nonfiction section and why isn't it better?

Some lines are classic, dark Gaiman, but those are so frustratingly few and far between. Mostly, this book left me scratching my head. Pretty illustrations, though.

Very cute and nice. Maybe a little too black and white about good vs. bad, but largely wholesome ☺️

I don't get it. It's not anything??

Gorgeous illustrations though

One chick is not like the others....so much fun!

HAHAHAHAHAHA wtf I love it

Tender 💝 I love how everything has a face. I was a bean without a bag

Well written & an interesting character study. Unfortunately, I just didn't feel connected to the narrator and therefore was unimpressed by reading his whole life story.

Beautifully written but so difficult, hard to follow, and depressing. I want to submerge myself in Morrison's language, but doing so also hurts me emotionally.
