this was so good it actually pissed me off. the plot, the characters, the writing, the YEARNINGGGGG !! literally everything was flawless 😩🫶

At this point, I will read anything Holly Black writes. The way she constructs a story is so addicting to me. In regards to this book specifically, I sunk right into the atmosphere. Maybe it's because I'm from a small town, maybe it's because this is my niche when it comes to fantasy novels? I don't know. What I do know though is that this book felt like laying down in a patch of deep green moss, letting the spiders and pill bugs crawl over you, and being reclaimed by the earth.
