Slaughterhouse-Five is one of the most dynamic representations of the human experience I have ever read and I recommend it highly to anyone who is human and can read a book. P.S.: if they ever make another Slaughterhouse-Five movie, Bill Hader must star as Billy Pilgrim.

There are times when I think a book is great because it gets me excited about its greatness. Then there are the rare moments when I know a book is great because I savor it, let my mind ruminate over the writing, and just sit in silence after I finish it. This was one of those rare moments.
How We Fight for Our Lives is a devastating, brilliant, lyrical punch to the gut. The last page actually took my breath away as tears pooled in my eyes. This is an absolute must-read.

There’s something to be said about a story that kept drawing me back to it even though I wasn’t quite sure what was going on a majority of the time.
