Catching Fire is the second book in The Hunger Games series and it's just as good, if not better than the first novel in the series, The Hunger Games.

In this book we follow Katniss Everdeen and her cast of returning allies and antagonists, as well as new characters that shouldn't be judged at first introduction. This book was action packed and the suspense was ever growing.

I remember enjoying this the first time I read it over 10 years ago, and now that I've read it again I love it just as much as I did back then.  I can't wait to dive back into the third book, Mockingjay.

TW: Sexual assault, slavery, theocracy

Wow, this book was just as hard to get through as it was when I first read it in 2022. I really can't stand
Marc or Larken, I hate them both
. This was such a good book though, I think it was a bit long but it was still really good. I'm going to NOT adjust my rating this time around, I'm going to keep my rating at 4 stars.

This book was hard to get through but it was fantastic, I had so many emotions all through out reading this! Fear, anxiety, sadness, and hopefulness all coursed through me while I devoured this dystopian sci fi by Octavia E. Butler. I think the hardest parts for me were the sexual assault and the slavery. I gave this 4 stars because I'm torn on whether there needed to be so much sexual assault with such vivid imagery in the novel. As a sexual assault survivor I definitely got triggered more than once while reading this book.

Interesting...

No one actually reads this to their kids, right? I didn't care too much for it, the art was cute.

Good intro!

My husband is asexual and I got this book to learn more about asexuality. Through this book I learned that I'm demisexual, which is on the asexuality spectrum. This graphic novel truly was short and informative, I enjoyed it. 5/5 stars
