American Murder Houses takes you on a tour of notorious homes where violent deaths have occurred and chronicles the history of each home as well as telling the current state of them. Many of the tragic events detailed aren't necessarily new, but the facts given surrounding the murders and the homes they took place in are interesting all the same. This one is definitely good for anyone looking for quick tidbits to possibly catch their interest so they may later take a deeper dive with more in depth material.

Embark on an enchanting fairytale-like quest beside Marra as she sets out to achieve one goal: kill a prince.  

As a princess who has been living at a convent for years, she’s ill equipped to do the task alone. Knowing this, she sets off to enlist the help of a powerful caretaker of graveyards and spirits known as a dust-wife.. who also happens to have a hen possessed by a demon for a companion. With her own companion of a dog made of wire and bone, they’re an unusual pair that only gets more unusual as their path takes them to a goblin market, a fairy godmother, and a tomb with restless spirits inside. 

T. Kingfisher builds a captivating world from the first page that only gets more interesting the more characters you meet. If you’ve enjoyed any of Kingfisher’s other work, you will love this and likely want to devour it all in one sitting if you can. 

Lady Killers is equal parts horrifying and fascinating. Each woman whose bloody history is explored will leave you unable to put down this book. Some of the women I had already heard of, others I hadn't - either way, each of them is given the same level of depth in detailing their lives and crimes in a way that doesn't glorify them but still captivates your attention.
