Collection of Vonnegut short stories and writings sold/published throughout his career. The wit, brevity, and uniqueness of Vonnegut is virtually absent here - to the extent of seeming like a completely different author, and a much less accomplished or interesting one. Do not recommend unless you're a hardcore Vonnegut completionist.

An extremely accessible nonfiction account of early Antarctic exploration and what we knew in 1950. Includes great maps and extraordinarily beautiful descriptions of the continent.

First half is about the history of superconductivity written extremely accessible to the layperson. Second half is superconductivity futurism. It's almost quaint in its optimism.

Sources and materials used in creating Raoul Peck's namesake documentary - most notably James Baldwin's unfinished "Remember This House" that explores the murder and social reaction to three civil rights leaders' murders. Written like an extension to and qualifier of the film.

Two different stories of man's relationship with human decay and nature's reclamations. The first is a highly poetic and metaphorical exploration of a decommissioned military facility; the second, a narrative journey into a hollowed way that flitters in and out of the past. A true literature diptych.

Semi-autobiographical novel in a discursive format that's quite different from McCarthy's now-famous capsule style. "Ulysses"-inspired to the point of namedrops, and a detailed picture into the southern Appalachians in the 1950s.

In which the horror of terrorism solved nothing, begets nothing, and revives anew - with characters who learn everything or nothing, depending on your perspective.

More than a snapshot of Radiohead’s development of Kid A/Amnesiac; these free verse vignettes and faxed sketches are their own work of discursive, subversive art.
