Tessa and Christian have been best friends since they were small children. With a long and strong friendship like theirs you would think nothing could tear them apart. Unfortunately, both Tessa and Christian are looking for different things in life. Their struggle with getting everything they want is just the thing to test their friendship. Tessa is trying to be fully focused on work. She wants to build a great career and Christian is ready to settle down. His plans now entail finding the girl for him. When Tessa decides to be the good friend she knows she is things begin to take a turn that anyone can see coming.

At first I really liked Tessa. She just seemed cool but as the story progressed my opinion of her wavered. I didn’t dislike her completely but how she handled things sometimes were annoying. You just want to smack some sense into her. It is nice have a goal, something to strive for. Tessa has her goals and is an independent women but that isn’t all their is to life. She didn’t think much about how she might balance things. She just took the stand that she could only have one thing. Christian on the other hand was adorable with his wanting to have a family of his own. He decided it was time and wasn’t scared of making a commitment. Although this was nice he wasn’t much better then Tessa with his actions. He knew what he wanted but didn’t full on try to get it. He was looking like he was going to just be willing to settle without too much of a fight.

The friendships were my favorite part of the story though. I liked the connection that Tessa and Christian had and liked reading about their past and how the friendship began. Their interactions with their other two best friends were also funny and cute. There was a lot that was pretty adorable but there wasn’t anything particularly exciting about the story as a whole. It wasn’t bad but it just wasn’t really anything new. I would have liked more passion, more pushing for what they want and not being so understanding. Even with it’s predictability it was still cute and fun for what it was.

I know the paperback copy of this is older and I remember picking up a copy at a yard sale back when I was still in high school. I am terrible and just kind of grab things at yard sales without reading what it’s about. If it looks good I’m all, “Why not?” Well, at the time I didn’t read adult books and I discarded it quickly. I honestly cannot remember what I did with it. Would have been useful if I kept it around but I didn’t. Semi-recently…Okay in January…Damn that was so far away! Sorry, off topic. Anyways, I decided I wanted to read it this year so I bought the ebook. Although it wasn’t amazing I still found it fun and enjoyable.

I know there are a lot of vampire books out there and although they all have a lot of similarities all the ones I’ve read find a way to do there own thing with them. A Quick Bite is no exception. There was a lot to know about what exactly being a Vampire entailed in this book. I love when I get to know new things and when they change things up.

Lissianna is a vampire that can’t stand the sight of blood. She literally passes out if she has to look at it and well I am sure I don’t have to tell you that that can make things difficult. That is where Greg comes in to play. Greg is a single doctor (it is mention on a few occasions how often his sister tries to set him up) on his way to leave for vacation when he is kidnapped in hopes he can cure Lissianna of her little huge problem. Lets just say things don’t go smoothly and from the beginning things get complicated. If it isn’t one thing it is another and the problems begin to pile up until the big “ah shit” moment.

I thought A Quick Bite was pretty humorous. Lissianna’s family really cared about her and I thought they were funny. Thomas had to be by far my favorite of them though. I think the best part of the story was the humor and there were some ahhhhhh!!! moments. Also, Lissianna and Greg had some time to get to know each other, was just hoping for a bit more bonding time before the feelings (besides pure attraction) surfaced. The sexiness is tame and their isn’t a ton but it’s still there. Besides that though I just didn’t find myself fully immersed having to turn page after page. I wouldn’t say there was anything I majorly disliked I just didn’t find myself fan-girling over it. I’m still glad i gave it a chance though and if I ever find the time I wouldn’t mind checking out the next one.

Christina and Lauren really know how to grab your attention and hold it. When I read Beautiful Bastard I found it highly addicting and was looking forward to getting my hands on book two. I went out and bought my copy of Beautiful Stranger and it was not disappointing. Just as addicting as the first and unlike Beautiful Bastard not as repetitive. Although, Sara and Max like to have sex everywhere besides their actual bedrooms they mix it up and end up in places I didn’t see coming.

Just like with Beautiful Bastard it was easy to find these characters lovable. Sara was all ready to settle down before she finally realized her fiance was a jackass. She isn’t falling for that crap anymore and just wants to have fun, not strings, no more commitment. She has built up walls and isn’t very trusting anymore. She doesn’t want to fall for anyone but she can’t get enough of Max and the person she is with him. She gets a thrill out of what they do. Plus it doesn’t hurt that Max is British…Sexy!…I meant sexy. Swoon. I love me some sexy British men.

Max was the opposite. Like the summary says he loved women. He wasn’t looking to be with just one for the rest of his life. None of them had caught his attention for that long. After meeting Sara though he is the one pushing for more in this relationship. Where Sara just wants fun Max might just be wanting much more. From their first encounter Max is smitten. With a first meeting like that what guy wouldn’t be swept of his feet ;) Then the places and pictures. No way Sara is getting rid of him. Of course, in any relationship though problems are going to arise. Things won’t stay sexy and perfect forever. Go pick it up and see what I mean. It’s a quick read but steamy, fun, and gives you a little relationship drama. Next please!

Thanks to Alexa I read The Raven Boys last summer and I loved it. I hated the fact that I had to wait for the sequel to come out. Don’t you just hate waiting?! Well after Katelyn over at Kate’s Tales Of Books and Bands posted an instagram picture and after telling her jealous I was she was a total sweetheart and said I could borrow it. I was so excited to get it in the mail and although it took me longer than I was hoping to finish (just couldn’t find the time) I am extremely grateful I didn’t have to wait anymore. Unfortunately now I have to wait forever for the third one.

I loved getting to dive back in and see how Blue, Gansey, Ronan, Adam, and Noah were doing. Sadly, there wasn’t too much of Noah but plenty was going on with the rest of the crew with Ronan being the center of this books conflicts. Of course, the gang are still looking for Glendower but they find it very difficult to make further progress and not everyone is on the same page for what should be done next. As some begin to drift farther apart others continue to become closer. More characters were thrown into the mix making everything much more interesting. Looking forward to seeing how future connection/relationships turn out.

From the Raven Boys it is obvious Ronan has a lot going on in his head. He’s angry, confused, and ultimately needs answers. He is definitely his own worst enemy but he has a big heart. His love for the people he finds important in life is very apparent. In Dream Thieves you really get to see more of how he feels and what the cause of all his torment is. He has to face a lot in this book on so many levels. Ronan just can’t seem to escape the monsters in his head and that makes for an incredibly sad/exciting/suspenseful story. It really adds to their incomplete journey.

I really can’t say much more. So much went on when at the same time not much was accomplished. Just more and more information and pieces of the puzzle revealed bringing them farther away and closer to their goals all at the same time. The characters are continuing to grow and show who they are. Things are getting more complicated but more obvious the farther along we get. There is little romance in this book so if that is what you are looking for it’s still not happening. The hints to something more are beginning to pop up but there is more to the book then this and it is over in a blink of an eye. That don’t mean it had any less pf an impact though. I just know this group has a lot ahead of them and it won’t be easy. I can’ wait to continue this series.

As you already know I am in love with this series. It is by far one of my favorites and continues to keep me wanting more. I had much love for the first three and although I wouldn’t give Lover Revealed as high of a rating I am still a huge fan. J.R. Ward really knows how to keep you entertained with action, sex, and humor. Three things you can always count on when reading about the brothers (or other affiliated with them) are that they always kick-ass, love to keep their women satisfied, and typically have something funny to say. They are just perfection. Anyways, if you haven’t started the series put the review on pause and go pick up the first one :D (Reviews for 1-3 will be at the bottom of this review).

Lover Revealed was Butch’s story and although I like Butch, and totally still needed his story, I just wasn’t bursting with excitement while reading this one. It was possible for me to set it down and although it had moments that gave me the feels they just weren’t as AHHH as with the first three. It has to be said that I LOVED the first three so this one had big shoes to fill. It was still quite the read!

Butch is always Mr. Tough Guy and next to the brothers he pretty much gets out voted and doesn’t get to help like he wishes he could. He doesn’t care much about getting hurt he just wants to help protect the people close to him. Butch has his demons just like the rest of them and they are what contribute to how he see’s the world. Yeah, he is stubborn and always wanting to be tough but like anyone else you poke and prod deep enough and I’m sure you will find a softy trying to get through their issues.

With Butch being Butch is was great to see the relationship continue to unfold with him and Marissa. Marissa is miss perfect, upper class, sheltered, a sweetheart. She really doesn’t know much and Butch has seen/done so much in life. They are very different. How could it ever work? I always thought that because of who she was she would be a total pushover with everything but thankfully that was not the case. She made her feelings clear and wasn’t going to stick around for someone that didn’t care to worry about her concerns.

This series just keeps on getting crazier. More things begin to surface with each book and when you think things can’t get worse they very much can. I am just waiting for things to really explode. Already worried :s There are just so many people involved and so much to find out. I am ready to continue the series and get to know more of the brothers. I loved Butch and V’s bromance in this one and with the little teases into V’s life I am intrigued to start the next one. It’s Alexa’s favorite so it has to be great!

Wrong Bed, Right Guy and Chasing Mrs. Right were such great reads full of intense characters and passionate relationships. It is in the first two books you get the tiniest bit of info on Nathan that has you going, “What the hell happened to him? What is his story?” You love reading about what is going on with the other characters but you are still left dying to know what is up with Nathan. You don’t know much so of course you get extremely curious. After reading the first two I was really excited to finally get to read Nathan’s story. I already knew Katee knows how to turn on the passion and tell a good story while she is at it. Plus, the mystery of Nathan would be solved. Why wouldn’t I be excited?

With all my excitement I think I set my hopes to high and although Two Wrongs, One Right was still an enjoyable read I didn’t care for it as much as the first two. Nathan and Chelsea haven’t seen each other in 8 years. They were madly in love once upon a time and haven’t moved on. Yes, they are both extremely hurt and they have been holding on to that hurt for way to long. With all that emotion going through a person I would just think I would feel it more as I read their story. I was expecting anger but also so much love to burn through the pages. I wanted to feel it but for some reason I just couldn’t connect fully with Nathan and Chelsea. I didn’t dislike them, I wanted more from them. With the first two books I felt like their was so much passion and I could feel what the characters were going through but not as much with this one. I thought this book would be bursting with passion, that their would be an intense explosion of feelings but it just didn’t happen for me.

What I very much enjoyed though was the little bit of talk about Gabe and Elle and their wedding. It was good to see how much in love they still were. I know this was Nathan’s story but I found myself wanting more of them and also Ian and Roxanne. The little glimpse I got of Chelsea’s friend Danielle was also amazing. She reminds me of another Roxanne and I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Katee has in store for her in Lover Unmasked. I just know she will be epic.

Why? Oh why do you do this to me Tellulah? I just finished My Date From Hell a few hours ago complete with a total fit consisting of the shaking of feet, hands, and head accompanied with something between a groan and a squeal. It was an absolutely great ending and it is going to kill me to have to wait for the next one. I have enjoyed all the books I have read by Tellulah Darling but this one has been the best. I really liked My Ex From Hell but a few things kept me from loving it. In my review (you can find it here) I said that “I was just hoping for some more suspense, more investigating, more drama, more of that banter I love” and I got all of that… a lot of it :D

The excitement began right from the beginning and continued until the end. Whether the crew were fighting for their lives or getting into emotional entanglements they were always entertaining. Tellulah keeps it humorous but still brings on the emotions. Definite trust issues among this bunch (Sophie, Hannah, Theo, and Kai). I loved them so much in this one though. They were all together much more often in this book and they crack me up. They are all complete smart asses and I love it! They give each other shit and seized every opportunity they get to tease each other but they protected each other as well.

Sophie continued to be her sassy self but also embraced her goddess side even more. I loved reading about her using her powers more and becoming more confident, even when she was still self conscious and doubtful about some things. Hannah continued to be a genius and Theo was still mister serious most of the time. We do get to see another side of him though which was a treat. Then of course Kai was Kai….always sexy and eager to push Sophie’s buttons (not always in a bad way ;) ) Just like with all the other characters in this book you get to witness even more about Kai. My absolutely favorite character though had to be FESTOS!!! He was awesome, adorable and hilarious.

Overall, a perfect addition to the series. I can’t wait to get the chance to dig into the next one!
