A very mixed bag. A lot of work was put into our female lead’s backstory. A lot of that really worked for me. However, in the end, there is nothing to the main characters’ relationship beyond their sexual desire for each other and I need more than that.

The writing is not good enough to sustain the pain and torture these characters are being put though. 

Also, this is a series and in no way will I be reading the rest of the books. 

I barely remember these characters and the world and I don’t care.
