The first 50% feels very slow going, but the last 25% just speeds along!!!

I cannot begin to state how much of an effect this book has had on me. I loved it so very much. It took me on an emotional ride and I could just feel everything. I was crying both from sadness and happiness.

Chant does an amazing job of making transgender issues a huge part of the book, while making it feel perfectly part of the whole story. And the ending? I loved the ending so much. I have questions, I need a sequel...

I realise this is not a helpful review, but if you enjoy the story of Peter Pan, enjoy a fairytale retelling and are interested in transgender issues, read this book. You won't regret it.

I very much enjoyed this novel and I thought the themes covered were both interesting and brave of Anne Bronte to write about for her time!
