The issues brought up regarding the treatment of working animals, conservation, and the realities of farming are already familiar to me. They really were just making me angry and that's not what I was wanting from this book. 

 Couldn't hold my attention enough for me to really become invested. 

 Didn't vibe with the art style and the timeline of the narrative was very difficult to follow. 

Really just couldn't keep my attention. Maybe I just picked it up at the wrong time. I'd be interested to come back to it at some point and try again. 

 Gave me the ick in a huuuuge way. 

What I did read was cliché and cheesy.

 Really didn't like the characters. 

My life has changed a bit since starting this series and some things that didn't bother me before have begun to trigger me. I definitely can't continue with this series because of it.

 Wasn't clicking at all by the 27% mark. Fox and Hannah didn't seem like the same characters from It Happened One Summer and I wasn't feeling the same spark.
