This collection of short stories was so amazing I feel I can no longer claim to not enjoy short stories. This was an incredible work, bringing together compassionate explorations of history with elements of fantasy, mythology and science fiction. I have so much respect for Ken Liu.
An incredibly moving, thought provoking collection, full of so many sad tender moments, and also a lot of fun.
Always beautiful, always too brief. Saga continues to surprise me with how high the stakes get.
Hazel's voice is such a treasure and it was so welcome in this issue that hits perfect pacing and insane intensity.
This issue was actual perfection. Not that I am any more happy with how things are unfolding (so painful all the time!) but the story is so well crafted and all the characters ring true for who they are. This issue made me sob for the first time reading Saga in a while, and I love it when my comics make me cry.
Perfect as always. BKV knows just how to move a story swiftly through time and Fiona Staples makes the best art of anyone.
I could look at Fiona Staples' art forever.
Getting that "I should re-read all of Saga feeling" as I try to remember exactly what all happened so far.
My first attempt to read a single issue of Saga! And what a gorgeous issue it was, with a wrap around cover worth framing. The thought that there is published content in this series that I adore and I have to make myself wait until it comes out in volume format was too much to bear. That said, I'm not sure whether reading by issue is the best format for this story, contrary to what Vaughan stated in the back of the issue when he perfectly identified me as a deluxe edition for the holidays/volume 4/issue 25 reader. I did enjoy access to the letters and comments you only get in a single issue format, but I feel my enjoyment of Saga has been greater the more of it I am able to consume in a single sitting! The story and art continue to be amazing, and each new character introduced is so fresh and exciting.
Gorgeous and fascinating as always, the one problem for me is that the story lines are all highlighted so it feels like only the faintest sliver of what is going on in each of them. I want more!
