I think there are many reviews talking about the content of this book. I too find myself reflecting on my childhood years watching Jennette on-screen as Sam knowing now how difficult that time was for her.

However I want to instead praise the writing in this book. This memoir has the perfect amount of humour in it, it deals with such heavy topics so brilliantly. It shares so much insight into her mind, her thought process in her different stages of life.

I too am glad Jennette McCurdy's mom died.

Sad to let this book go as I wanted to support Pakistani authors. However the base issue is I simply did not enjoy reading it. It's incredibly prose heavy and often the central point is lose for 2 or 3 pages making the plot hard to follow. I didn't like characters and the just felt uneasy overall

I don't think I understood this book at all, perhaps I shall revisit it someday and it'll all fall into place

Nothing too complicated, just a nice simple story about continuing to find hope and meaning in life.
