This was so interesting! The end was a plot twist I didn't see coming! The concept was pretty neat and I liked that it was a standalone book. The characters were odd but I liked them.

This is cute! I've never read any manga before and I would be lying if I said the sparkly cover didn't speak to me hahaha! But my library had the first 3 volumes of the eternal edition and since I've had the anime on my watch list for ages (haven't gotten there yet though...) I would give thanks a try. I'm confused about some plot points still but enjoying it a lot so far!

Once again I am left feeling warm and fuzzy. This series just makes me feel so much glee! It's so wonderful to see fluffy gay romance not centered around trauma - discussing it, yes, but not centering! Very important!

I can't get enough of this series. I'll have to wait a few more weeks to get my hands on volume 3 from my library but it'll be well worth it.

Wow. This book was a straight up Rollercoaster! I don't often read dark books but I enjoyed this one. Though, there were some violently graphic portions that did leave me in a heads pace where I needed to put the book down for a second before returning.

A man after receiving terrible news in his life can spiral so horribly downward in a train wreck fashion -its hard to look away! The  complete misfortune and literal manhunts in this novel kept me hooked for sure. I've never read any other book quite like it. I disliked pretty much every single character, yet still, this book was very well written. I would recommend it but read the trigger warning first!!!! They are extremely important!

I recognized a gap in my knowledge of U.S. history and took this as my first step to fill it. Reading this was somber but it also had an air of hope to it. I'll continue to educate myself on this event and others regarding Asian history in the United States.

I haven't literally squealed - with full scrunched nose and balled fists waving around - in a LONG TIME. God, Charlie and Nick are so cute! I just feel warm and happy. I resonate a lot with Nick as someone who is pan and it's like looking into a mirror of my old high school experiences. I have a hold on volume 2. I can't wait to read it!

I've had this book on my shelf for years. I haven't picked it up because poetry isn't always for my current mood and because there has been so much parody and satire around Kaur's poetry that I was kind of turned away from it. Well, having read it, I'm kicking myself for waiting! So many poems resonated with me. Made heart race and think "hm, maybe I'm not as over that as I thought". It was a reflective experience. I felt both seen and heard, and by the end I felt confident. I don't often mark the pages of my books but I added tabs to all the poems I thought I would like to revisit in the future.

I really enjoyed Milk and Honey.

I don't often read poetry. I prefer it spoken. But that's exactly why I purchased Neil's book. The poem "OCD" was performed so well. I've watched it countless times. Enough so that I hear the cadence when reading the words in my own. I also enjoyed "Joey", "Enabling: A Love Song", and "I'm Sorry Your Kids Are Such Little Shits and that We Are in the Same Zen Garden". I still think written poetry just isn't for me, but I did like a bunch in this book.
