honk shoo the drama is almost nonexistent
john green's symbolism drives me bonks. it feels like the epitome of fake deep.
i dunno man. this series is stupid popular so i wanted to give it a go, but it really gave nothing outside of the classic YA dystopian plot tbh. like nothing shocked me at all it was extremely predictable. it wasn't BAD or anything but i wasn't like engrossed.
that being said, will i finish the series? obvi.

it was fine. i didn't fall in love or hate it, sometimes it felt slow. i feel like a lot of the loose ends didn't get tied up, but at the same time i wouldn't want it to be any longer. idk.
bro the bombshells? the triple crosses? god DAMN
*update: why did i rate this 5 stars??? it's defo a four at most. for one, it was a been lacking in likability for the first half, i was rooting for pretty much nobody since it was so dark and depressing. it's kind of like divergent with super powers? the first half was dry i won't lie. the last 1/3 was super good and the ending was pretty surprising and fun to read. i'd settle on a 3.5

meh. it was fine, characters were a bit too dark / detached for me to fall in love with them (like most thrillers tbh). i liked all of the perspectives and guess work that goes into it though. the tagline doesn't fit tho tbh
DRY. how does this have over four stars? it's repetitive positivity oozing prose poetry. and it's poorly written
juliette is so insufferable in the first book i'm sorry
these books are so bad but so entertaining i cannot explain it. the society makes no sense and the circumstances are lowkey hilarious but it's good in a reality tv type of way.
a rare thriller with sympathize-able characters. the ending made me cry. genuinely enjoyed it, i wish more people talked about it
