I think if I had not watched the movie prior, I would have really enjoyed this book. 

A fun little read! The BFG got me into reading as a kid so I thought I'd try more of his works as an adult. 
I liked it. 

I found this book boring. The whole time I was just waiting and waiting for it to get interesting, but there was nothing. 
I get the "big reveal" was suppose to be the whole "omg, what!" moment, but I didn't get that. It was just kind of oh, okay, cool, moving on. Which is not what I want from a book. 
I thought so many people read it because it was an amazing story with a big twist, now I know its a basic story with a basic "twist". 

I don't think I've ever read anything so poorly constructed in my life.
I've decided this is a mix up of Buffy/Angel & Twilight, but written by someone who has never written before. 
The constant use of 'and' at the start of a sentence really irritated me. It kept distracting me and I had to re-read paragraphs just to make sure I wasn't adding words. 
This could have been a great book, but there was just no substance. 

Oh wow. I enjoyed this book from the get-go, but that ending killed me. 
I felt so heavily for Abbie. I'm still trying not to cry about it. 
Well written and easy to read with a whole lot of "wtf" in the last couple of pages. 
Over all, I loved it! 

This was an easy read. Having said that, I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. 
Its pretty basic and I feel I was lied to with the spice rating on this book. Either I don't understand the spice rating, or the publisher doesn't, but either way, quite dissapointing in that reguard.
