Highly recommend the audiobook for the Irish accent and the correct pronunciations. Absolutely gruesome but so good I immediately requested the sequel.

Kendall breaks down the issues concisely and emotionally as each chapter covers a different aspect of the issues that POC communities face (focused specifically in the US). But this isn't just a laundry list of problems: Kendall points out ways in which our thinking needs to change (both as feminists and as a society) and how awareness is the first step, but actively stepping forward to listen to and fight alongside marginalized communities is where the real work needs to happen.

Nora got pregnant, James panicked, so she got an abortion, and they just literally never spoke again which is so dumb I canNOT. It would be one thing if she was devastated over the abortion itself but she says that she doesn't care and it never comes up again and she spends the entire book whinging about this guy

I hate bashing a local author that I've met, but this was the tropiest of tropey YA novels. It wasn't bad, but it was pretty cringe.
