Hilarious and heartfelt. I loved Becky and her outrageous friend Rocher (yes, like the candy). This was a delightful take on a Faustian deal that just felt so realistic despite all the magic.

Oh my god, this was so bad. Just past the tail end of laughably bad edging into painfully bad. Setting aside the minor things (Cass gets a call at 2am, three days pass, and she tells someone the call happened the night before, or she asks the cook to teach her how to cook because she doesn't know anything and in the next scene she says she baked with her the day before), this was incredibly sexist against women and the romantic lead was a psychotically jealous, rude son of a bitch who deserves to be kicked by one, or maybe all, of his horses.

I loved that all the names were puns, and that it included instructions on how to do fancy tricks and also had non alcoholic drinks and snacks.

I love the addition of new intrigue and backstory. Just as fun as the first two.

Such a fun adventure! I loved that it wasn't about a ringleader and his minions - Eli, Josef, and Nico are all fascinating in their own right, and Miranda and Gin were brilliant too. I kept picturing King Henrith as Timothy Omundson in Galavant.

This was a pretty similar formula to the first book, but in these trying times an adventure book that is fun is exactly what the doctor ordered (after 1. stay at home and 2. wash your damn hands). I loved
Spoilermeeting Eli's dad, and that Josef is finally gonna become one with the Heart of War. I am also so intrigued by Nico.

When 16 pages out of a 246 page book are dedicated to a description of hell, this is not going to be a book for me. In addition to its cringe-inducing descriptions of Stephen's
sudden piety after his frequent frolicking with prostitutes, this book tries to make a few hints at political commentary that just make it feel like Joyce is trying to make his book relevant to the time without actually addressing any issues at all. This yawning mess of stream-of-consciousness prose made me feel like I was listening to the ramblings of a stoned teenager.

I loved finding out that Josef is secretly a prince, and watching Eli's struggle all the way to the bitter end.
