You can't have an entire trilogy centered around a girl with mystical powers who is prophecied to save the world, and then end it by having her go back in time and rewrite history so the whole trilogy never happened. OUT. GET OUT.
Spoiler
This is the second book I've read this month where the character goes back in time to undo the entire story. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME.This was just as bad as the last two in the quartet. I couldn't connect with the characters, the plotting made no sense, the takedown of the villains was weak, and the dialogue was stilted and unrealistic.
Wild futuristic short stories with a zodiac theme based on art. Love it.
This book lacked the mystery and excitement and terror of the first book. The only mystery in this volume exists because the characters are all too stupid, stubborn, or both to talk to each other. The action scenes were few and far between because Sunshine spent 80% of the novel whining internally while her biological father withholds information. The ending was a cliffhanger, but after how boring the rest of the book was I can't muster up enough interest to be upset.
I laughed out loud more than once, and learned that a narwhal horn is actually a tooth.
