Weird, kind of creepy.
Not a huge fan of how mean Noah's face is or the picture of him hauling a terrified donkey onto the ark by a rope around his neck, or the offensively stereotypical picture of a woman with her dress around her knees screaming about mice. You definitely get a good sense of the craziness.
What a gruesome little story. It was a good ending to the trilogy.
I listened to the abridged version, so I'm not sure how much I missed, but I assume just more anecdotes. The audiobook was read by Gladwell and he is not a quick or charismatic speaker so I am glad I didn't listen to the full version. His ideas were interesting and I loved the sociology aspects of it.
I've heard better retellings; this one lacked emotion. But the art was interesting.
Humorous story but the art leaves a lot to be desired, especially considering it is a Caldecott Honor.
Macaulay has the unsettling ability to present fascinating facts, historical information, and precise drawings in an incredibly yawn-inspiring way. Great for information but not something I would give to someone for fun reading.
