Gabe is living in two worlds; he is a boy from a poor city with great drug connections but he is living in a rich town and dating a rich girl, and he has to decide what matters to him and who he wants to become. Guerra has written a book that is realistic and heartfelt. It is the first book since "Inside the Mind of Gideon Rayburn" that has made me feel like I could get inside a boy's head. I love this because it is a boy book and a girl book and a book for anyone who has ever felt hopeless and fragile. Would recommend to anyone looking for a story that has the darkness of a life but an overall positive outlook.
