Tropes: billionaire, fake dating/engagement, ex-boyfriend’s brother, workplace, forced proximity
📖 Margot gets a surprise visit from Beck, her ex-boyfriend’s older (and hotter) brother, at work one day. He has quite the proposition for her — move to New York City to be his assistant and fake fiancée. As they spend more and more time together, pretend and real start to blend, things heat up, and feelings grow. But will secrets come back to bite them at the very worst time crushing the relationship before it has really begun, or are they meant to be more than fake after all?
Beck has one dirty mouth and he sure seems to know what to do with it. That man knows what he wants — his sole focus is on Margot and he will do whatever it takes to win her heart. Margot was sweet, and I really loved the story with her art. She got screwed over by a crappy ex, who just happened to be Beck’s little brother, but she’s not a push over. When she’s mad she’ll stand her ground. She also knows how to push Beck’s buttons to get the reaction she’s after 😉
🎧 Thank you to @valentine and Kat for giving me an audio copy of this. This is dual POV, dual narration. Savannah Peachwood really fit how I imagined Margot in my mind and she crushed this narration. Lee Samuels voiced Beck, and he absolutely has that growly, possessive thing down. He was believable as an alpha billionaire. When he goes into female voice I got a little distracted, but this has got to be hard for someone with as deep a voice as he has.
