This book is just as good as I remember. Eugenides will always deliver some good metaphors.

I pre-read this for someone and thought it less than useful. I imagine the chapter about major debt (school loans, etc.) could be helpful, but the Internet is a better research option.

In trying to create a vivid landscape, the author forgot to make sense. Madness or no, much occurs in this book for no discernible reason. I had higher hopes for a backstory of Rochester’s wife.

This was a lovely, quick read and just the right amount of romance for how I’m feeling today.
