Just peak as always, super faced paced fights and really creative powers on display. Quanxi and Yoshida get introduced, both of whom are important later- first real big hint that Makima is the main big bad as well. Also Power running Denji over cracks me up bad.

Second half and end to the Bomb arc and man is it so good- Reze as a character is so fun and tragic as a villain and I adore every panel and frame. Her and Denji both being children of countries that used them makes me so sad. Aki saving angel too <3

The start of Battle Tendency and the second half of the Hamon power system. Man this is so strong as a start- the art is much clearer here and the fights in general are more intelligent. Joseph is such a breath of fresh air as a main character in comparison to Jonathan and I really like the new setting and new characters (NOT STROHEIM FUCK THAT GUY). The main fight here is good but I know they get better so i'm very excited to continue.

For me, this is where Chainsaw Man really starts- absolutely fantastic emotional beats (easy revenge, Reze's arc starting, Aki's relationship with Angel) all mixed together with beautiful panel framing and art. The main theme of family and control also starts to pick up here and it's wonderful.

Not too much happens here aside from some foreshadowing and a showcase of just how strong Makima is. The stuff with the Future Devil... I'll be sick. Beam and Angel get introduced here whom I love both.

Wow did i forget how fast the pacing is of this series my God- Fujimoto has a way of making you start to like a character or starting a more typical arc only to rip it away in the most devastating way. It's always fuck Himeno but the effect her death has on him and the lasting damage it causes over the series... Fujimoto the writer you are. Also excellent art his style is so peak.

So much set up here and it's such early days for the story- Aki backstory makes my heart ache. Also fuck Himeno and Makima.

Fuck is the opening to this series so good- amazing art composition/panel framing and the character writing and themeing is phenomenal off the bat, it's so peak. Denji protagonist of all time I fear.

Seriously though the flashbacks? Oh it's peak. Also Arcturus reacting that strongly to Paige very lightly touching him (not even skin to skin content) yeah i'd be less surprised that he kissed you girl look at what you've done to him!!! Also seeing Liss and Julian again 🫶🫶🫶 I love them so baddddd bring Julian back 😭😭😭
