What a fun read! If you like slashers, chases through woods and gruesome deaths - check this out. 

This is an absolutely beautiful short story. It starts off with a dark bang that really sets the tone for the story. Definitely a top choice for me with the recent short stories I have read!

This story goes between two different time lines, both modern day Em and past Mari. Fairly obvious that they're timelines were going to mirror each other, some interesting story telling where it's also told through emails, news articles and Mari's book. Twist at the end was pretty lackluster. Maybe I was hoping for more thriller in the book, but there was no huge "risk" to it
