This is the first book I read in Swedish, and it was quite challenging. I could understand most of the text, but it was quite a confusing read as well. The book is autobiographical, so I don't see it as appropriate to judge it based on the usual stuff. Reading Du som haver barnen kär was a saddening and eye opening look into what it was like to be a child during the second world war. Though I imagine the experience would have been richer if I had read it in a language that I'm fluent in. I do recommend reading the book if you have the chance!

Tämä kirja on ensimmäinen, jonka olen lukenut ruotsiksi, ja se oli aika hankalaa. Ymmärsin suurimman osan tekstistä, mutta se oli myös melko hämmentävää välillä. Kyseessä on omaelämänkerta, joten minusta ei ole sopivaa arvostella sitä miten fiktioita. Du som haver barnen kär oli lukukokemuksena surullinen ja silmiä avaava katsahdus lapsen elämään toisen maailmansodan aikana. Luulen, että lukukokemus olisi ollut rikkaampi, jos olisin lukenut kirjan kielellä, jota puhun sujuvasti. Suosittelen lukemaan kirjan, jos sinulla on siihen mahdollisuus!
