3 stars - this was a cute, quick read. The Nanny is one of my recent favorite romance reads, I didn’t like this one nearly as much. The setting, family aspect, and chemistry between the MCs was all really good. I enjoyed the peeks into the past, but felt like the present situation was fairly low stakes. I found the monster parts a little boring, and the villain a bit unconvincing. Fun, but not a favorite.

4 stars - very cute, swoony, and predictable. Made me giggle quite a bit, a nice palate cleanser in my reading for the year. Excited to watch the movie soon.

4 stars - this was really cute. From the beginning I was hooked. Though there was some dreaded miscommunication happening, it didn’t last too too long. When they did communicate it was spot on, so healthy. Definitely steamy, and funny too.

2.5 stars? - the beginning of this one was very interesting. I liked the change in setting and new characters. The female friendships remained very strong, very feminist. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the action packed parts. However, it then became fairly boring for me. The pace was slow, the plot sort of confusing or maybe just all over the place? Guinevere was struggling with her identity and it was getting old and kind of depressing. I almost stopped listening, but only had 2 hours left. Just not for me, I guess.

3 stars - I loved the first book in this series, but found this one a bit slow, and a bit all over the place. I loved the female friendships, and I enjoyed the development of
Guinevere and Arthur’s relationship,
but I found some of the parts related to Guinevere and Lancelot hard to believe. I also didn’t like the parts with her sister very much. I don’t really understand why Guinevere trusted some and not others, that felt a little far fetched sometimes too. I enjoyed the ending, and it makes me think the last book in the trilogy will be pretty entertaining. Fingers crossed!

4.25 stars - I really enjoyed this one! It was fun to see the characters of Camelot come alive in new ways! I liked Guinevere and all of the other characters. I found the knot magic really interesting and unique. I’m excited to see what happens with the rest of the trilogy!

4 stars - this was such and interesting book, and nothing like I expected. I loved the German setting, Greta, the bear, and the mystery in the story. I will say this was much darker than I had expected it to be. It’s fairly bleak from the beginning, and there are some fairly graphically dark and violent moments toward the end of the book. I was imagining a bit more whimsy and cozy scenes. This isn’t that book. All that to say I enjoyed it quite a bit and found it very fun and different than other things I’ve read recently.

3.5 stars - I absolutely love The Four Winds series! This one had such a different setting, and vibe than the ither two. I really enjoyed the second chance romance in this book. It definitely felt steamier than the other two to me. I loved the side characters, and the atmospheric setting. The sailers and the action related to the sand storms were really interesting to read. I understand where the plot went related to music and battling demons, but it felt so different from the other books and I found that a little distracting. Maybe it was a mixture of pulling from so many stories, and the fact that it was left open ended. Overall I liked it, but it wasn’t my favorite in the series.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance reader copy!

4.5 stars - I really enjoyed this book! It was packed with a lot of information and research on movement from many different lenses. I appreciated that this was approached in a really flexible manner. It was factual, and yes, wants you to move more, but is also realistic. There were so many sections filled with reflection questions, practical ideas, and in depth information on choosing clothes, shoes, traditions, activities, etc. etc. that work for you and your family. Definitely worth a read or a listen for parents and caregivers.

4 stars - this was cute! There were several parts that had me laughing out loud, and definitely some steamy moments. This wasn’t my overall favorite of the series,  but I love the whole group of characters and I’m excited for the next book.
