This book was almost a five star read. There was a love and hate relationship with Colin and Penelope. I am glad that there was a happy ending and can't wait to see what happens with Eloise.
This book was hard to read. The main characters were very frustrating. The characters themselves were extremely interesting but I know understand why both characters were frustrating. Overall this ended up being my second favorite out of the series and it was so hard to put down. I highly recommend.
Omg this was a really good book. Was hard to put down. The plot twists were amazing. The ending is shocking and I want more. Why leave it on a huge cliffhanger. Ugg book three needs to come out now
Started very slow and picked up really fast. So many different situations that happen so fast I had to slow down and connect them all. Hands down a great book and I loved the ending.
What I liked: That Malory starts to play chess to help finacially support her family. I loved that her Chess mates tried there best to convince Mal to come back and play her last chess tournmant. I also loved that her family found our that she was playing chess again and supported her. They went to her last game. I loved that her family excpeted her.
What I disliked: That the author played it safe and turned this into a young adult book. Even though it is also listed as New Adult I think it should have been listed diffrently. The author writes about sex and quotes " An Erotic fanfiction of Percy Jackson having sex with a hippocampus". I belived that was very uncalled for due to the fact that Percy Jackson is a young adult book series that people are still fans of. I also found thart quote very distrubing. I also didnt like how the author was trying to be super trendy with everything Gen Z likes.
Notes:
Remove any erotic fanfictions
If you are going to talk about sex don't put it out on display throughout the book
When talking about ones Trama try and find copeing mechanisms that are to triggering for younger readers
Lable the genre of the book based on what the story is mainly about.
