Picked this book up with high hopes. Put it down when my friend sagely reminded me, "life is too short for bad books." Authors were clearly cishet white women who didn't consult actual trans ppl on how to talk about transness. Highly recommend Cory Silverberg and Fiona Smyth's books on sex and puberty to anyone looking for more trans affirming resources.

Forced myself to finish reading for the information, but the author's voice was near unbearable. Indulgent, white savior, western liberal fodder. 

With that being said, we all should 100% know and care about what's going on in the Congo.
