A very odd book. It took a while for it to pick up but the story kept me reading and I finished liking it well enough. I don't think I'd recommend it to any child or teen that isn't a really avid reader. Anything less and they'll lose interest.

This book was amazing. Dark, complex and awesome! That's all I've got to say 'bout that!

I agree with a lot of the reviews out there that this story was choppy. It would get into the story and then suddenly the chapter would bring up something from Bug's past, spending a good chapter on it, too. Also, Bug was not a character I could get along with. Yeah, girl power and everything, but she took offense to everything and everyone, and that made her a very unlikeable character. She was down on her luck a lot, but it was her anger and pride and poor character that kept her in that state. Sorry Soul Enchilada, you had great storyline potential, but the character and writing style brought you down.

Wow! It was so greusome yet educational AND fun! All I can say is: poor Beethoven. His death was the worst! As a person who rarely reads or enjoys nonfiction, this really grabbed my attention and kept it!

Oops, didn't realize this was a sequel to Beasts of Noor...

My only wish is that I could be reading these books all in a row rather than waiting for them to come out month after month. That way when we finally get to see the Friend's face in this volume I could gasp in shock rather than go, "Wait, who was that again?" and have to look him up in the beginning character guide. I think it's the suspense that I love about this series.
