WONDERFUL graphic novel with a great style that really emotes. Many people know the pain of breaking up or of being cheated on, so we can commiserate with Emma and feel her pain when she goes through a tough break up. Can't say I know what it's like to go on adventure of piecing your heart back together, literally, afterwards!

Ok, the story of this is cool, if not a little over-used, of a family that hunts monsters and there's supernatural powers, ghosts, werewolves, all that. The characters are fun, the banter fun, but I felt a disconnect somewhere in this. The art isn't supposed to be pretty. It's slashy, quick lines, simple, lots of use of smoke/fog texture overlaying a quick messy line and coloring. It's definitely a style that does a great job creating a dark horror comic
...but
...am I the only person bothered by the use of copy/pasted panels? Or the excessive use of the blur tool? I guess it's a way to create a feeling of unease. Was this a web comic or something that had to be made quickly? I guess I can't blame the creator, comics are time consuming to create, but entire panels were repeated and I guess once I noticed it bugged me.

ANYWAY, it's still a decent graphic novel and a fun read, I guess I've just read better or GNs recently that caught my interest more.

I have nothing to say but great things and praise about this graphic novel full of adorable one-shots between the most adorably illustrated couples that is not only full of great and funny dialogue, is also one of the most sex-positive graphic novel I've ever read promoting healthy conversations and sexy times with partners! :)

Leave it to Ito-san to make you uncomfortable with super weird body horror! Great comics but boy do they make me uncomfortable! You know me, I'm a haunted, ghost-y horror fan, but I still love Ito's art enough to read his works.

I really wanted to enjoy this book! It sounded so interesting: the world stops spinning, fighting to survive and live inside that perfect little zone where it wasn't too hot or too cold. I guess I thought it was a post-apocalyptic survival sci fi? Instead it was very full of politics, government espionage, and a main character that was being hunted down for secret, government knowledge she didn't even have. Ellen just never really clicked with me. She was a very dry character. Very...blah.

It's still a good book, don't get me wrong, it was good enough to make me finish it! Just not what I thought it was going to be and not what I was in the mood for.

What a perfect book with great trans representation and the perfect time of year to read it! I was very happy with this book and its characters and its story. Very fast paced and a great teen read!
