I love these poems and they gave me insight into the heaviness of incarceration but in an easy and accessible way.

this book was a series of 4 essays and they were very writer heavy, but I liked it, it felt challenging. I enjoyed it overall but it took me longer than I thought to finish

This book had a lot of rawness. sometimes I lost the plot but I liked the story overall.

Favorite quote: A more accurate message on the billboard might be PLAY BALL, DEFINE YOUR LIFE BY YOUR LOVE OF IT, AND THEN TURN TO METH WHEN THE COLD, HARD FACTS OF LIFE SHATTER YOUR DREAMS.

This book was interesting. It was my first graphic novel. I liked that the stories were short but I struggled because they were not in chronological order. Sometimes they were too short and I just felt like the story was building. But overall I enjoyed it.

I loved this book. I think it’s helpful to have someone with autism, even if they are not level 2 support needs. But even so the characters are endearing and the story is fun.

My only gripe is there is some weirdly place sexual tension that didn’t feel necessary. But maybe it’s because I like my smut with lots of build up and not out of nowhere.

It got to be too detailed and I lost interest.
informative medium-paced

Great for kids (or adults) who want a quick overview of who Frida was
