This was a beautiful book. The story perfectly intertwined the lives of four young people, from subtle passings to long interactions that all come together at the end. Each character had their own battle and issues that were relatable and inspiring. The book was also very immersive. I have never read a book set in Alaska before, but I feel like I could not have experienced in a better way. Hitchcock really used her setting to expand the story instead of it just being where the book took place. It was an important part to it. The writing was beautiful, but in some ways very unsettling, especially in the beginning. It helped the story all the more. I don't usually enjoy contemporary novels, but I loved this one very much.
Very interesting book. I never thought I would read it, but finally decided to see what it was all about. Inspiring and insightful book about the beauty of tidying up.
Very interesting case studies for understanding the significance of of implementing neuroscience into the environmental/behavioral design.
4.5 Stars! This is such a cute 'origin' story of Father Christmas. Even though it's a children's book it touches on subjects like grief to develop this story. I really enjoyed finding all the hidden references that would eventually create the Father Christmas we know today. It's full of adventure. Really cute and fun read!
