I have very mixed feelings about this one. On one hand, I thought is was really funny and I loved how complicated it was. In the other, I felt like everything was half finished. I wanted more from the characters. It felt like I was just supposed to believe everything without seeing it for myself. I was interested in Feyi but I wanted to see more of her relationship with all the characters. I wanted to understand her but I was kept at an arms-length away, never fully grasping her character. It felt weirdly surface level which is not something I have experienced with Emezi before. I enjoyed large portions of the story but felt somewhat disappointed with how it was written, not nearly as mesmerized by this book in comparison to their other books. 

It was slow start for me with this one, but it got better. And ended up being very fun by the second half. 

This just fell really flat for me. I didn’t feel anything for this characters. There were some redeeming moments but overall I was disappointed.
