I really enjoyed the concept of the novel. It was very interesting and creepy. I love Koontz's writing and I know this novel is his earlier work so I don't want to be too critical. The writing style is different and not as descriptive as his other novels, but the style it was written was still good. The version I have is the rewritten copy (1997 vs. 1973) and apparently the original and the revision are similar, but very different. I am almost interested in finding the original to compare.
