This book started out great and promising! It sucked me in and then went down hill.

There are too many inconsistencies, and its frustrating how the inconsistencies kept repeating themselves.

The amount of over explaining, and then over explaining the same thing over again was making me upset. Why would a vampire who doesn't know this other person and cant figure out what they are over share on everything he is? And why would you over share to your GRANDFATHER you were doing the bed sheet tango?

She has to get this house put back together and is having trouble and then all of a sudden the male MC is like yeah I can get a months worth of repairing done in an hour, why did he wait so freaking long to help?

Some of the spice was great until it became the same thing or just got weird.. the amount of times "virgin blood" was used during the dirty just made me feel icky...

It was annoying that she was poor and all of a sudden her grandpa saves the day and says "Surprise! I've been rich this whole time, here take this money!" What? And then it's like "my whole family is dead" PSYCH they were just chilling in a mud puddle...aye?

The bad guy was dying, just finish him! Why turn him and risk something worse?! Its like when a villain has the hero and has a long monologue before taking action so the hero wins - but in reverse.

I wanted to like this book, I really did, someone posted a clip of a chapter on TikTok and I was excited to read it! I was pretty disappointed.

This book was SO good! There were a few things that kept repeating throughout that were uneeded, but otherwise this book was great!!

I truly hope this isn't the last we see of the Princes! I selfishly want all of their stories, and to see what is going to happen next! (Someone PLEASE tell me there will be more! LOL!)

The story had a LOT of promise, and I wish it would have been a little different like she wanted revenge but ended up falling too far in love, but this just wasnt it for me unfortunately. There was a lot of spelling mistakes that made it difficult to concentrate and the dialogue seemed a bit forced. I also dont care for when 2 charecters are having a conversation and say the others name in every sentence, it also makes it a bit distracting.

Overall I think the writer has really good potential as I first stated, I think she should stick with it, this is only one of the first books as she mentioned that she wrote and we all start somewhere! ❤

I am starting this review with what I didn't care much for first because overall I loved this book, and then what I loved most, ending with the ratings. :)

There were some parts that really grated on my nerves like the "Oh no a male who is absolutely gorgeous wants to love and adore me living with me for eternity?! NO!" like...girl...move out of the way then I'm okay with loving him back LOL!
(***TW!!! Attempts on own life being discussed***) And then there was the constant "I'm going to kill myself" All. The. Time. and then she is like "no I'll just kill him so I can be free of someone who only wants to love, dote on, and protect me WHAT?! The ending really had me (*****SPOILERS******) when she was like I have all this power but it's okay I will die so the veil goes back up, ummm... seriously? Ope and she is back to trying to kill herself or the love of her life mmkay... LOL!
Last thing was her constant "No I am the lost princess the other chick is the weirdo!" Rude Ella.. just rude!

Now that the parts that bugged me out of the way I overall LOVE this story there is a lot that kept me guessing and some turns not expected, I am loving Holt and Imelda's firey relationship and just Holts sass in general! And the spice? Yassss!!!

To be honest, at first this book was making it so I lost my groove with reading, as you can tell with how long it took me to read.. it was just so slow the first 45% - but looking back it was understandably so to build the world and what the characters were like. Then it really picked up, some of it was a bit confusing why some things happened, but otherwise I enjoyed the book and will be getting the second. The Epilogue threw me for a loop, I wasn't expecting that character's personality to be that way deep inside (iykyk lol!)

Spice: 6/10 - A bit more spice than ToG but much less spice than Ice Planet Barbarian
Plot: 7/10 - it felt a bit rushed, but I am interested in where it goes next.
Overall: 8/10 - Good story overall and makes me think the spice will be amped up in the next book ;)
